It may be hard to believe, but 2012 is just around the corner. The passing year was full of big moments in the fashion world (Kate Middleton’s royal wedding dress and John Galliano’s gaffe to name a few) and a slew of unforgettable trends.

Some fashionistas may already be looking ahead, planning their 2012 spring wardrobes, but there is still one event left this year that will require a bit of styling.
Finding the perfect New Year’s Eve dress can be a challenge. If you’re anything like me, you’ve had your eye on a couple of options since October. It’s what you’ll wear to ring in the new year, boogie down on the dance floor and have on for a magical new year’s kiss. This type of occasion calls for something beyond fabulous, but definitely within your budget.
For style inspiration, we took a look at a dress Selena Gomez recently wore to an awards gala. The pop princess shone in a one-shoulder ruched silver mini and simple black heels. The one-shoulder silhouette is playful and elegant, perfect for New Year’s Eve.
