Is Jennifer Lawrence too fat to play Katniss Everdeen in ‘The Hunger Games?’ This is a thought that never would have crossed my mind-- she looks pretty, um, normal in the sleek, belted golden gown she’s wearing in this photo with her cast-mates. But The Cut and Slate note that some of the film’s reviewers -- including Manohla Dargis at the New York Times -- seem disappointed that she doesn’t look emaciated. Not hungry enough, so to speak. Retailers reportedly have noted a high rate of returns of clothing ordered by Mexican consumers. The problem is the clothes just don’t fit. So the country’s apparel industry undertook a survey to see what the proportions are of the average man and woman in Mexico. The theme is ‘Fashion Behind Closed Doors,’ and among other things it features behind-the-scenes looks at designers Alber Elbaz, Joseph Altuzarra, Giorgio Armani and Hollywood’s Georgina Chapman as she helps get Stacy Kiebler ready for the Oscars -- and then attends herself.
