The Iranian Fars News Agency and other media outlets are reporting that one person was killed and two were injured when a bomb exploded near a shrine to Ayatollah Ruholla Khomeini, the leader of the 1979 Islamic Revolution. This news follows reports of police using tear gas and water canons to disperse as many as 3,000 protesters who gathered in defiance of Iranian police warnings.
