Take our word for it -- making out with Scarlett Johansson wasn’t the only thing that happened during Sandra Bullock‘s acceptance speech at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday.
One of our favorite moments was Betty White‘s mention of Bullock’s black mini-dress with a plunging back.
‘Honey, don’t ever wear that dress backward,’ White cracked.
We got hold of designer Oday Shakar to hear his thoughts on the pearl-clutching from White.
‘I think every gay designer’s dream is to have Betty White crack a joke about their clothes!’ Shakar said. ‘I thought she was very funny, and right on.’
The sparkly black confection of a dress was customized for Bullock, her stylist requesting a longer hem and some sheer addition to the sleeves to pair with nude Christian Louboutin pumps. Special attention had to be paid, considering the importance of the comeback dress.
And given White’s analysis, what would the designer whip up for the 88-year-old?
‘I think I would put her in a wool suit with a sparkly top, age-appropriate but fun.’
We’ll leave the back cleavage to Sandra, then.
