Hugh Grant is father to a baby girl — but mom remains a mystery

Hugh Grant, the British charmer known for films such as ‘Love Actually,’ is actually a brand new dad.

News came Tuesday that the funnyman had welcomed a baby girl last month, though the identity of the little one and her mum aren’t being revealed.

‘I can confirm that Hugh Grant is the delighted father of a baby girl,’ his rep confirmed in a statement. ‘He and the mother had a fleeting affair and while this was not planned, Hugh could not be happier or more supportive. He and the mother have discussed everything and are on very friendly terms.’

The Ministry gives major props for the full disclosure, further evidence that Grant part of a dying breed of bone-dry limey leading man.

‘He’s going to be a great dad!’ a source told Us magazine, which broke the story. ‘He’s beaming about his daughter. He’s not with the mum anymore but he’s absolutely thrilled.’

Grant has famously dated actress Elizabeth Hurley and writer Jemina Khan.
