Good morning. I found this item on the housing blog over at Inman.com, and it seemed like an amusing idea for a Friday morning: ‘How to Sell Your Home in 5 Days.’ Personally, I’m a little skeptical, but here’s how it works:
Book summary, from the Inman blog: ‘Bill Effros suggests putting your own house up for auction doing a number of really smart things, including pricing the house at half of what you think it’s worth. He claims that thousands of folks have successfully sold their homes, without paying commissions, in 5 days by following his methods.’
More, from Amazon.com: ‘This involves placing Wednesday newspaper ads announcing that the home will be shown on the weekend and sold to the highest bidder on Sunday night. Daring as this sounds, Effros has a technique for handling the round robin bidding to elicit a bona fide offer at fair market value.’
