Before turning our attention to the pairs long program ... why not a few more words on the great quad controversy between Brian Joubert of France and Patrick Chan of Canada?

At least until tomorrow.

First up, France.

‘I don’t know what he [Chan] exactly said about me,’ Joubert said. ‘I heard a lot of things about it, but I don’t care about it. He has to do his job on the ice and I have to do my job on the ice.

‘We have to fight on the ice, not with journalists.’

Glad to hear that. We had enough problems on Wednesday.

Next, Canada.

‘We both did our jobs today,’ Chan said. ‘We’re not here to have a fight off the ice. We’re friends and there are no hard feelings.’
