Times ‘insane’ for world figure skating championships

You can’t be much more blunt than Terry Jones of the Edmonton Sun is in this dispatch about the starting times each day for the world figure skating championships at Staples Center.
Jones wrote:
The concept was to bring the sequined show to the Staples Centre to give the sport -- which imploded with the Salt Lake City 2002 Olympic Winter Games judges scandal involving Canada’s Jamie Sale and David Pelletier -- a doubleheader chance to become relevant in the U.S. again as the lead-in event to Vancouver 2010. It seemed like a good idea at the time. Instead it’s turned out to be insane.
