Do you hear that big, long sigh coming from Raleigh Studios in Manhattan Beach?
That was the cast and producers of ‘90210’ relaxing (just a bit) after hearing that the CW picked up the show today for a full season. That was a bold step and speaks volumes about the network’s faith in the spinoff, considering the TV season officially starts tonight. And who knows what will happen when there’s more competition?
So far, though, the series has worked out nicely in the ratings. The network also has added a new executive producer to run the writers’ room: Rebecca Kirschner, a respected writer-producer on two hits: ‘Gilmore Girls’ and ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer.’
Executive producers Gabe Sachs and Jeff Judah, of the Judd Apatow empire, will remain on the series focusing on other production aspects of the show.
