Boy, I didn’t see that one coming: Kim Kardashian and Cloris Leachman remain to compete another week, and Ted McGinley is out. But let me give credit where credit is due -- commenter Katherine predicted this exact outcome. Kudos!

After four hours of dancing and elimination, this hourlong results show seemed to whiz by. Kim and Mark and Cloris and Corky were among the first couples saved, which I admit did make for some good suspense, though when it came down to Toni Braxton and Alec or Ted and Inna, I wondered whether it was responsible for the producers to place Toni and her heart condition under so much pressure.

Speaking of pressure, the pros danced a number to ‘Under Pressure,’ which reminds me that I am finding the music much more tolerable this season. Somehow, even the nontraditional songs seem less cheesy in their production. Is this true? Or have I just drunk too much of the ‘DWTS’ Kool-Aid?

In other filler, Jesse McCartney sang his No. 1 hit while a couple of non-cast pros danced. The male pro had a very short torso, though he moved it well. The Jonas Brothers sang a new song, and Joe Jonas (he’s the oldest one, right?) even danced a little with Mark and Derek. Needless to say, the girls went wild for both of these acts. Season 6 cast member Adam Carolla was back to interview people on the street about their feelings regarding ‘DWTS.’ He worked in several heckles of Cody Linley, who’s now paired with Adam’s former partner, Julianne, and made insinuations regarding the sexuality of several interviewees.

So that’s it for this week -- and I didn’t stay tuned to ABC to see whether David Blaine died in his latest stunt or not. Would anyone like to make wild prognostications about next week’s dancing?
