NBC’s Bob Costas has landed the first interview with former Penn State coach Jerry Sandusky, who admitted to showering and horsing around with young boys but insisted he is not a pedophile.
The interview will air tonight on ‘Rock Center With Brian Willaims.’
‘I say I am innocent of those charges,’ Sandusky said when Costas questioned him about a 40-count indictment that contains specific details about his alleged abuse.
Costas said, ‘Innocent? Completely innocent and falsely accused in every aspect?’
Responded Sandusky: ‘Well, I could say that, you know. I have done some of those things. I have horsed around with kids. I have showered after workouts. I have hugged them, and I have touched their leg. Without intent of sexual contact.’
