Jess (Zooey Deschanel) invites a colleague (Justin Long) to Thanksgiving dinner in a new episode of “New Girl” at 9 p.m. on Fox.SERIES
Knights of Mayhem: This five-part series goes inside the dangerous world of full-contact, heavy-armored jousting, traveling with a group of hard-core knights — led by Charlie Andrews, reigning world champion of the Ultimate Jousting Championship organization — as they compete in tournaments across the country (6 and 7 p.m. and 9 and 10 p.m. National Geographic).
Glee: Sue’s (Jane Lynch) congressional campaign smears her main political opponent in this new episode (8 p.m. Fox).
Raising Hope: Shirley Jones and Lee Majors guest star in this new episode as Burt’s (Garret Dillahunt) parents, who announce they’re coming for Thanksgiving (9:30 p.m. Fox).
Parenthood: A family charades game has Joel and Julia (Sam Jaeger, Erika Christensen) fearing that they’ve spoiled Sydney (Savannah Paige Rae) in this new episode (10 p.m. NBC).
Chopped: It’s Thanksgiving, and four chefs go head to head to create dishes that will make the judges thankful in this new episode (10 p.m. Food).

AFI Master Class: TCM and the American Film Institute have teamed up for what’s going to be a quarterly series of major specials focusing on some of the great artistic collaborations of our time. Up first, the dynamic artistic relationship of director Steven Spielberg and composer John Williams (5 p.m. TCM).
Nazi Hunt: Elusive Justice: This two-hour documentary explores the 65-year effort to identify, prosecute and punish the 20th century’s most notorious murderers (9 p.m. KOCE).
Engineering Evil: This new special uses artifacts, rarely seen photos, film footage and expert testimony to explain what it took to implement the widespread destruction of human life in Hitler’s depraved idea of a “final solution” (9 p.m. History).
