UCLA’s bid to advance in the Pacific 10 Conference women’s tournament is going to have to begin with a comeback effort.
The Bruins could not contain Oregon State guard Brittney Davis in the first half of a quarterfinal game at the Galen Center and trail, 26-21, at the break.
Davis, a senior guard, scored 15 points, making three three-pointers and six of eight free throws.
Atonye Nyingifa and Doreena Campbell each have six points for UCLA.
The winner of tonight’s game advances to Saturday’s semifinals to play second-ranked Stanford, a 77-46 winner Friday over Arizona. USC plays California in the other semifinal.
