Paul Perkins, a senior running back at Chandler (Ariz.) High School, said he will play football at UCLA.
Perkins, a high school teammate of Bruins quarterback Brett Hundley, was not concerned about UCLA’s coaching change.
‘I left it in God’s hands; he’ll take care of it,’ Perkins said. ‘I love the school, and that’s not going to change with a new coach.’
Perkins, 6 feet and 190 pounds, can play wide receiver or running back and is close to Hundley, something that influenced his decision.
‘He can tell me about the guys, where to hang out,’ Perkins said.
Perkins also was recruited by Colorado, Wyoming, Northwestern and Fresno State.
