Anybody interested in a glass of Twitter wine with company co-founder Biz Stone?
That’s right. Twitter, along with the Napa winery Crushpad, has created a pinot noir and a chardonnay called Fledgling.
Twitter is auctioning the wine and a lunch for two with Stone on EBay until Dec. 16. The high bid as of late Thursday morning was $1,725. Seperately, it is offering 350 signed wine bottles and 140 signed magnums.
Proceeds go to Room to Read, a San Francisco-based nonprofit organization providing opportunities that promotes literacy among children in poor countries.
“To date, Room to Read has established more than 1,000 schools and over 10,000 bilingual libraries with 7 million books, and supports the education of nearly 10,000 girls,” Fledgling’s website says.
Have yet to see a tasting note on Twitter’s vintage, though.
