Kurtis Livingston, 19, a young black man, was shot in the hand and head at 1931 W. Jefferson Blvd. in Jefferson Park, and died at 11:35 p.m. March 31.

LAPD Southwest detectivessaid he was walking when assailants in a light-colored car pulled alongside him and shot and killed him. He died at the scene. The killing took place during a spate of back-and-forth retaliatory weekend shootings in Southwest precinct. (Left, liquor at Jefferson Boulevard street shrine marking Livingston’s death.)
