The Los Angeles County coroner’s office has confirmed the following deaths as homicides. The Times will report more details later this week:
Jasson Estrada, an 18-year-old Latino, on May 26. Estrada was shot at Prairie Avenue and 107th Street in Inglewood.
Javier Gonzalez, a 22-year-old Latino, on May 27. Gonzalez was shot at Bexley Drive and Norwalk Boulevard in unincorporated Los Angeles County.
Wilford Hunton, an 18-year-old black man, on May 28. Hunton was shot near the 710 Freeway and Willow Avenue in Long Beach.
Mitchell Marien, a 23-year-old white man, on May 28. Marien was shot in 17800 block of Lakewood Boulevard in Bellflower.
Herbert Turner, a 42-year-old black man on May 28. Turner was shot at the intersection of 48th Street and South Ascot Avenue in Central-Alameda.
Racquel Ruiz, a 68-year-old Latina on May 28. Ruiz was shot in the 28100 block of Bobwhite Circle in Saugus.
Juan Longoria, 33-year-old Latino on May 28. Longoria was shot in the 5300 block of Ledgewood Avenue in South Gate.
David Crosby, 39-year-old black man on May 29. Crosby was shot in the 160 block of North Sierra Madre in Pasadena.
Lequan Muhammad, a 19-year-old black man on May 29. Muhammad was shot in the 2400 block of E. Florence Avenue in Huntington Park.
