Here’s a nifty gizmo put together by The Times’ web wizards that shows visually how close the race for delegates for the Democratic Party presidential nomination is between Sens. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

And how far Sen. John McCain is ahead of former Gov. Mike Huckabee on the Republican side. These visual images are automatically updated as new numbers come in. So, check back here often.

Also, move your cursor over the darker parts of a candidate’s face to bring up state-by-state delegate totals already captured.
