Milton Knox is on the cusp on achieving yet another milestone.
Entering tonight’s Championship Division semifinal between top-seeded Birmingham and fourth-seeded Crenshaw, the Patriots senior RB is just four TDs away from having 100 for his career.
He already surpassed former North Hollywood standout Marlon Lucky’s previous section record of 81 earlier this year. But if he reaches 100, he’ll be only the 13th player in state history to hit paydirt 100 times.
However, that’ll be easier said than done against a talented Crenshaw team. Sure, Knox scored four TDs nine days ago in the Patriots’ dominant quarterfinal victory over Taft, but he’s been averaging just a hair under three TDs a game this season. Plus, tonight’s game against the Cougars should be more competitive.
Kickoff is at 7 p.m. And, as always, I’ll keep you up to date with the latest here from Birmingham HS.
