Girls’ soccer: SOCES grabs the lead

SOCES midfielder Kristian Sanchez struck in the 57th minute, booting home a short-range shot past Foshay goalkeeper Paola Jimenez to give the Knights a 1-0 lead in the City section Small Schools Division championship game.

Five minutes later Knights forward Antonia Aljawani was in front of the Foshay goal when Jimenez mishandled a save, and Aljawani calmly tapped the ball in the back of the net to put SOCES ahead, 2-0.

Is this game over? Foshay certainly looks discouraged out there on the Contreras High field.
