Hart senior pitcher Trevor Bauer, set to enroll at UCLA in January, has signed a grant-in-aid with the Bruins.
Bauer, who went 12-0 as a junior, intends to graduate in December and join the Bruins for the 2009 season. He and incoming freshman Gerrit Cole from Orange Lutheran give UCLA the two best right-handed pitchers from Southern California from this last season.
‘Trevor is an outstanding pitching prospect who will be able to compete right away as a freshman,’ UCLA Coach John Savage said.
