Basketball: Davis does his thing out of the Simi Valley spotlight

Just because football season is underway and has captivated most everyone’s attention lately does not neccessarily mean there’s not plenty of interesting hoops happenings going on throughout the Southland. Take Jonathan Davis for example.

The 6-foot-6 sophomore from Simi Valley has quietly gone about his business of making a name for himself while most of his peers have been far more concerned with keeping track of how well the Pioneers in pads have been doing on the gridiron.

Davis made an unofficial visit to UCLA recently and plans on taking a trip to Arizona State in a couple of weeks. It’s also worth mentioning that USC was on the Simi Valley campus earlier this week and several other colleges figure to follow suit.
