Servite leads Edison, 19-17, heading into the fourth quarter, but it could have been a touchdown more.
QB Cody Fajardo completed a 46-yard pass to receiver Jamar Johnson that put Servite on the Edison 8-yard line. However, two sacks on Fajardo pushed the Friars back to the Edison 28, and Michael Loftus missed a 43-yard field-goal attempt.
The good news for Servite is it expanded its lead early in the quarter with a 53-yard touchdown pass from Fajardo to Christopher Nicholls. That TD allowed the Friars to stay in the lead despite a four-yard TD run by Edison’s Davion Orphey.
