Football: Wheatley takes the plunge

Orange Lutheran quarterback Bobby Wheatley plunged into the end zone for a one-yard touchdown to pull the Lancers into a 7-7 tie with Mater Dei with 29 seconds left until halftime at Santa Ana Stadium.

Lutheran coverted three fourth downs on its 80-yard scoring drive and has converted three of four in the game. The scoring drive took 7 1/2 minutes.
