Boys’ basketball: Westchester ousts King

King had one mini-run left in it, pulling to within 12 points midway through the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t nearly enough as Westchester held on for a 53-39 victory tonight at Pauley Pavilion in the Southern California Division I regional championship.

The Comets advance to Sacramento for the first time since 2005 and will attempt to win their fifth state title next Saturday night at Arco Arena.
