Football: Dietrich Riley is a star at USC camp

Here’s my advice for USC Coach Pete Carroll: Don’t let St. Francis defensive back Dietrich Riley leave campus without him making a commitment to the Trojans.

Riley was one of dozens of top high school football players participating in USC’s Rising Stars camp Wednesday. He is no rising star. He’s just a star.

He had an interception playing safety early in the competition. He has gotten bigger and faster since I saw him last summer in a similar situation, and there’s no doubt he has become an elite player.
