What a difference a year makes. Last season, the City Section Division I championship game at the Coliseum was played in miserable rainy weather. On Saturday, the sun is out, the temperature could reach 80, and Carson and Crenshaw are fired up for their 1 p.m. game.
Crenshaw Coach Robert Garrett, wearing shorts and slippers, got riled up when the scoreboard operator put up a score that read: Crenshaw 108, Carson 6.
‘That’s not victory with honor,’ Garrett said. ‘You’re motivating them.’
I’ll be blogging when the game gets under way.
