Sundays with Sondheimer: Making the most of a second chance

On Sundays this summer, I’m presenting my favorite videos from those I’ve shot over the last three years and telling the back story.
Last fall, one of the best football players in the City Section was quarterback Jeremi Ross of Hollywood High.
He came from a foster home with failing grades. The opportunity to play football gave him a second chance to do his work in school. He became the team captain in his junior year.
This was a teenager who needed help and guidance, and his coaches provided it. But it was his hard work that enabled him to have success. He’s preparing for his senior year, and he’s going to play receiver, quarterback, running back and defensive back.
