Huntington Beach didn’t waste any time moving back into the lead in its Pac-5 Division playoff opener against Loyola.

Minutes after Loyola jumped into the lead by returning the opening kickoff of the second half, Huntington Beach quarterback Michael Chislock connected on a 69-yard touchdown pass to Ramon Vargas to give the Oilers a 17-14 lead early in the third quarter.

Huntington Beach then recovered the ball on an onside kick to take over the ball on its 48. The Oilers, which have converted on four of five fourth down attempts tonight, are making the most of some gutsy playcalling by Coach Eric Lo.
