Boys’ basketball: Washington transfer gains eligibility

Los Angeles Washington just got a whole lot better. Isaiah Hicks, a transfer from Long Beach Jordan, has been approved for eligibility by the City Section. He’s 6 feet 4 and was a starter last season as a junior. He had seven points in a win over Cajon.

Taft continues to wait for Compton transfer Anthony January to be eligible. He needs to sit out 365 days from when he last played for Compton and complete his academic courses.

Fairfax waits to see when guard Brendyn Taylor will be eligible. He’s supposedly going to be eligible in January but no one is confirming that on the record.
