Baseball: Richard Perez is the new coach at Arleta

Richard Perez, a former Franklin assistant, has taken over as head coach at Arleta.

Perez played at Franklin and in the minor leagues. He was an assistant at Franklin for former Coach Rick Campbell in the early 1990s.

He later worked in the sports media and as an actor. Last season, he served as an assistant coach at Franklin.
