After guiding Carson into the City Section Division I championship game in his only two seasons as coach, Elijah Asante has resigned to pursue other coaching options.
Asante said he is interested coaching at the private-school level, and is considered a candidate for openings at Studio City Harvard-Westlake and Santa Fe Springs St. Paul.
Asante’s departure from Carson opens up one of the most prized coaching opportunities in the City Section. Carson is an 11-time champion.
