Football: Get ready for a pounding by the Sorenson brothers

There has to be something in the family gene to produce the Sorenson brothers from Santa Margarita. Riley Sorenson is a 6-foot-5, 316-pound junior offensive lineman. Brother Will is a 6-5, 326-pound freshman offensive lineman.

Coach Harry Welch is already envisioning the Sorenson brothers playing side by side on the offensive line in 2012.

‘We’d have 650 pounds of Sorensons next to each other,’ Welch said.

There could be the Sorenson Pancake or the Sorenson Sausage that happens when they combine on a block.

And we’d all like to know who wins when they’re at the local smorgasbord eating.
