Boys’ basketball: Etiwanda’s defense stifles Oaks Christian

Schools in Southern Section Division 1AA had better start preparing for Etiwanda’s man-to-man defense. The Eagles improved to 14-1 and won the Oaks Christian tournament championship with a 60-28 victory over the host Lions.
Sophomore Jordan McLaughlin led the offense with 24 points. Dominique Walker added 12 points and was named tournament MVP.
In the Redondo tournament, Torrance Bishop Montgomery won the championship with an 84-55 win over Washington. Ralph Harvey Jr. had 24 points for Washington.
Crespi defeated Los Angeles Price, 69-64, in the third-place game. London Perrantes had 26 points for the Celts. Skylar Spencer had 18 points for Price.
