Track & Field: Munford wins heat at state prelims

Junior Jordie Munford of Rancho Cucamonga won her heat in 14.0 seconds and posted the fourth fastest time overall in the girls 100 meters to qualify for the finals at the CIF State Championships in Clovis.
Also qualifying were senior Traci Hicks of Long Beach Poly (fifth overall in 13.75), Vista Murrieta freshman Jasmyne Graham (sixth in 14.03) and sophomore Ebony Crear of Maranatha, who clocked 14.16 to nab the ninth and final spot.
In the boys 110 hurdles, Gardena Serra junior Lloyd Siscard advanced to the finals after taking second in his heat and fifth place overall in 14.19. Senior Darion Williams of Vista Murrieta (14.37) and South Torrance senior Cody Smith (14.50) also made the cut.
