Chris McGee, who has done a fantastic job as the play-by-play announcer for Fox Sports West’s and Prime Ticket’s high school game of the week the last six years, is leaving the network. He’s expected to host the Lakers’ pregame and postgame show for the new Time Warner Cable Sports Net.
McGee is a graduate of Encino Crespi who really enjoyed doing the high school games. He brought great enthusiasm and professionalism.
He will be replaced by Justin Alderson, who has been doing play by play since 2002 covering verious high schools in Texas and Southern California. He has been Cal State Fullerton’s radio/web voice for baseball since 2005. John Jackson will continue as the expert commentator.
