St. Bonaventure Coach Todd Therrien was barred from attending his team’s opener on Friday against Garfield as punishment for speaking to a middle school class. Therrien made the most of his night off.
He went to watch a scrimmage between Corona Centennial and Redlands East Valley, two future St. Bonaventure opponents.
And all his work in practice paid off for his team, which won, 48-0, over Garfield.
Garfield Coach Lorenzo Hernandez said St. Bonaventure was the best team he has coached against in his years at Garfield.
