The CIF Southern Section has received a report from last Friday’s Malibu-Villanova Prep game that resulted in a forfeit after an altercation broke out in the Villanova dugout.
The umpire’s report placed no blame on Malibu. Southern Section spokesman Thom Simmons, revising an earlier conclusion from a report received from Villanova Prep’s athletic director, said the student who came into dugout and got into an altercation was the brother of a Villanova Prep player.
The incident occurred in the third inning. Villanova Prep forfeited the game.
