Design plans have begun for a new $21-million Instruction and Research Building to be built on the UC San Diego campus in La Jolla.
Space programming and planning for the 80,000-square-foot structure is being conducted by the interiors design group of Buss Silvers Hughes & Associates.
A firm spokesman said the new building will be located in the Miramar Academic complex and it will house the university’s anthropology, history and political science departments.
