San Diego
Two gunmen Friday forced five employees and a customer at the Lassiter Insurance Co. to lie on the floor and then escaped with about $600, San Diego police spokesman Bill Robinson said. The two men, both in their 20s, entered the insurance office at 3977 Normal St. about 2:16 p.m. Both men wore bandannas and brandished handguns. No one was injured. Robinson said the description of the gunmen matched those of two bandits in an earlier robbery of a Thrifty gas station on Old Town Avenue.
