Lemon Grove
A 30-year-old Lemon Grove man kept members of the Sheriff’s Special Tactical Unit at bay for nearly six hours early Saturday morning before being forced from his house, in the 2100 block of Cypress Street, by tear gas, a sheriff’s spokeswoman said. Michael W. Monahan cq, apparently upset over the loss of his job, hid in his Lemon Grove house and fired rifle shots randomly. Monahan was booked into County Jail on suspicion of disturbing the peace and resisting arrest, the spokeswoman said.
