Richard L. Berger, former president of Walt Disney Productions, has been named senior vice president of production for United Artists Corp., one of the two newly formed film divisions of MGM/UA Entertainment Co.
Berger will again be working with UA President Alan Ladd Jr. and Jay Kanter, president of Culver City-based UA’s worldwide motion picture production. The three were at 20th Century Fox Film Corp. in the mid-1970s before the formation of Ladd Co. in 1979. UA announced separately that Lori Weintraub and John Goldwyn have been named senior vice presidents of motion picture production.
