De Tomaso agreed to build sports cars for Chrysler.

De Tomaso Industries said that certain of its Italian subsidiaries, including Officine Alfieri Maserati S.p.A., have reached an agreement with Chrysler Corp. to develop and build a two-seat sport coupe in Italy. The New Jersey-based company anticipates as much as $500 million in revenue over the next six years from the sale of sports cars to Chrysler.
