A 43-year-old construction worker was killed in a fall Friday at a construction site in San Diego, the county coroner’s office said. Ernest Swain Jr. of southeast San Diego died at Sharp Memorial Hospital of injuries sustained when he fell 35 to 40 feet to the ground from the fourth floor of a building under construction off Ruffin Road, said Deputy San Diego County Coroner Penne Hammerstead.
