A bandit tried to make off with the daily receipts from a McDonald’s restaurant in Fullerton, but all he ended up with were some Chicken McNuggets, police said. Lt. Ronald Kazzor said a man in his mid-20s approached assistant manager Sheila Friend on Orangethorpe Avenue near Brookhurst Street as she drove to a bank to deposit the day’s receipts, which were in a McDonald’s bag. Next to that was another McDonald’s bag--full of Chicken McNuggets she intended to give to her dog. The man forced her out of her car and drove off. The car was found a short time later but the robber in his haste had taken the wrong bag. The bag with the money was still in the car. “I was in tears thinking of the look on that guy’s face when he opened the bag,” Kazzor said.
