Miami police appealed to Dade County’s “Pillow Case Rapist” to call them on a special hot line in hopes of ending his 39-victim rape rampage, which has grown increasingly violent in the last four years. The appeal brought 150 tips from citizens but no word from the rapist. “He is the cleverest rapist I have ever investigated and definitely the most prolific in Dade County history. I feel as though I know him,” said Metro-Dade detective Sgt. David Simmons. Victims cannot describe the man because he always covers their faces with a pillow case or towel.
