Redondo Proposes Topless Bar Law
Redondon Beach — In response to community concerns that repeal of city Charter section would allow the proliferation of topless bars in the city, City Atty. Gordon Phillips proposed the drafting of an ordinance that specifically prohibits such establishments.
Proposition J-to be voted on in next week’s municipal election-seeks to eliminate a section of the city’s 1967 Charter which Phillips says in “overly broad” in its total ban on exposure of female breasts.
