Proposals Accepted to Upgrade Rancho Course
Proposals to expand and upgrade the Rancho Park golf clubhouse, 10460 W. Pico Blvd., will be accepted by the city Recreation & Parks Department through April 30.
The existing 5,300-square-foot restaurant contains a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and liquor lounge. Proposals could include construction of a new clubhouse or the refurbishment and expansion of the existing facility, the provision of banquet facilities, construction of a new men’s locker room, refurbishment or redesign of the women’s locker room and provision of whatever landscaping and additional parking are needed.
James E. Hadaway, department general manager, said the course recorded a total of 125,894 rounds of golf last year, while the 9-hole, par-3 layout recorded 50,965 rounds, and added that a multimillion-dollar proposal could result in a 25-year lease. Details are available to prospective proposers from Keith Fitzgerald in the department’s Pacific region headquarters in Harbor City.
