Memorial services for food broker Campbell G. Bradt will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Victor’s Roman Catholic Church in West Hollywood.
Bradt, who died of cancer Saturday at age 78, started his own food brokerage company in 1948 and became a leading broker of canned foods in private labels, serving such accounts as Certified Members and the Vons, Ralphs and Market Basket supermarket chains.
His father, Gustavus H. Bradt, also was a food broker and sold his interest in one company--later to become Hunt Foods--to Norton Simon in 1931.
In lieu of flowers, friends suggest contributions may be sent to the Campbell Bradt Memorial Cancer Fund at St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica.
