Fire broke out in a classroom bungalow at Serra Junior-Senior High School in Tierrasanta Monday, causing $50,000 damage to the building and its contents. Fire Department spokesmen said the fire was caused by an electrical malfunction in a light fixture. The fire was reported by students about 3 p.m. Two teachers were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation after they went into the classroom to try to rescue a television set, according to San Diego Fire Department spokesman Ron Davis. Class was not in session, and firefighters were able to contain the flames to one room, although an adjoining classroom suffered some smoke and water damage.
